Saddle Brook Completes Project SAFEguard Program
Demonstrating that it is fully committed to ensuring the safety of its children, Tutor Time of Saddle Brook, New Jersey (www.tutortimesaddlebrook.com) recently became the first organization in the State of New Jersey to institute a Project SAFEguard Program (http://www.project-safeguard.org/). Project SAFEguard is an innovative program of the Applied Science Foundation for Homeland Security in Bethpage, NY (www.asfhs.org), a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to help protect the United States from man-made and natural disasters. The program is offered by the Foundation in collaboration with some of its research partners (GEOcommand, Strategic Planning Partners, impact, and Contemporary Computer Services Inc.) to significantly enhance schools’ and other organizations’ emergency management programs through preparedness and critical information sharing with first responders including building floor plans and emergency procedures. Tutor Time of Saddle Brook, which has been serving its surrounding community for the past 12 years, recognized the importance of Project SAFEguard in addressing one of its most important objectives and it is the only child care facility in New Jersey to have instituted the program.
